PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retain humidity of air even when a heating temperature of a radiation face is limited in consideration of safety in a convection heater. SOLUTION: The space heater comprises an outer casing 12 of the space heater, a heat source in the casing, and plural openings (gratings 16, 17) allowing convection of air through the casing. The heat source comprises a pair of panels defining between them a closed compartment, liquid in the compartment, and an electrical heating element in the compartment and thermally contacting the liquid. The openings of the casing 12 allow radiation from the heat source to escape from the casing.
