PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion device capable of reducing thermal stress generating on a partitioning member to prevent cracking and damage of the partitioning member by improving a combustion device performing two-stage combustion. SOLUTION: This combustion unit 1 has two burner port members 3 and one air flow channel member 5, and the burner port members 3a, 3b are disposed at both sides through the air flow channel member 5. The combustion unit 1 is used in a state of being disposed in parallel with a case 54, and a space surrounding top faces 30 of the burner port members 3a, 3b and two air flow channel members 5 is functioned as a first combustion portion 46. In a half-plane combustion operation, as a fuel gas is released from the burner port member 3b associated with the air flow channel member 5 at a boundary part at the first combustion portion 46c positioned on the boundary, flame is generated near the air flow channel member 5, and a stopped combustion portion side of the air flow channel member 5 is also exposed to the flame, and its temperature rises. As a result, temperature difference between both faces of the air flow channel member 5 of the boundary part is reduced, and thermal stress is reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
