The round plug connector has two coupling element, each having two support. A groove (36,37) is formed in circumferential direction of the later coupling element. The former coupling element has an outer sleeve-like operating slide (21), and provided to operate a locking element, and slidable by the spring force in longitudinal direction of the former coupling element. A detent element has detent bars (12,13) and a contact support of the former coupling element that are formed out of plastic material as a section of a single molded part (7).
