RADIO COMMUNICATION APPARATUS AND ACCESS CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication apparatus capable of rapidly retrieving an access point while suppressing power consumption, and to provide an access control method.

SOLUTION: The radio communication apparatus 100 includes: a cellular transmission/reception processing part 110 for performing communication with a base station device of a public radio communication network within an area of the base station device; a local radio transmission/reception processing part 109 for performing communication with an access point of the area in a limited area which is limited and narrower than the area; a connection information storage part 105 for storing information concerning the access point and information concerning the base station device communicable in the area of the access point by making them accosiate with each other; and an access point retrieval processing part 104 and an IF selecting part 102 which controls access to the access point corresponding to the information stored in the connection information storage part 105 and also control the start of the local radio transmission/reception part 109.
