<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin active matrix display device for compensating brightness irregularity due to temporal deterioration in a number of light emitting elements at high precision without correcting data signals. <P>SOLUTION: A pixel formation part includes a current drive light emitting element 3, a switching element 1 for controlling the data signals, an element 2 for driving the light emitting element having a floating gate, an auxiliary capacity 4, and a light receiving element 10. Prescribed potential is given from the floating gate 600 on a gate terminal of the drive element 2, a source terminal and a drain terminal so that brightness deterioration due to temporal deterioration in response to brightness of the light emitting element 3 measured by the light receiving element 10 is compensated. Thereby since the potential of the floating gate of the drive element 2 is properly controlled and a threshold voltage is lowered, the brightness irregularity due to temporal deterioration at each pixel formation part is compensated at high precision without correcting the voltage value of the data signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
