<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system capable of performing enlargement processing which can reproduce smooth edges with high sharpness, without causing out-of-focus and jaggies in an inputted image and can reproduce the structure of a small part such as texture with a small processing load and at a high speed. <P>SOLUTION: A frequency conversion means of the image processing system converts the image area of a predetermined size into a plurality of frequency components; a frequency component generation means generates predetermined frequency components from the frequency components of the image area converted by the frequency conversion means; an enlarged image area generation means generates an enlarged image area for an area in question, by using an image region which contains the area in question and which has a predetermined size and the predetermined frequency components generated by the frequency component generation means to perform reverse conversion; and an enlarged image generation means places the enlarged image areas generated by the enlarged image area generation means by a predetermined method, to generate an enlarged image for the input image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
