PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the condition of cooking materials inside a microwave oven to be viewed safely and clearly so that the cooking may go forward while visually checking the cooking status. SOLUTION: The microwave oven is provided with a heating chamber 3 and a door 5 for opening/closing the heating chamber, wherein the door comprises glass plates 6 and 7 as well as a transparent shield plate 13 configured by attaching a transparent conductive oxide film layer 9 at the visible light region to a transparent heat-resisting resin sheet 8, and the conductive oxide film layer 9 is electrically connected with a housing 1. Such a structure ensures clear viewing of internal microwave oven without any leakage of the microwave. Further, in the event of breakage of the glass plates, the possibility is fewer that even the transparent shield plate made of the heat-resisting resin sheet is broken, thereby enhancing the safety.
