PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content reproducing system in which a user can select a content by using an operation part of a mobile player and a client can reproduce the content recorded in a server or the mobile player indoors. SOLUTION: When a content is selected in the mobile player 100 when the mobile player is set in an outdoor mode, the mobile player 100 plays back the content recorded in itself. When a content is selected in the mobile player 100 in the indoor mode, the mobile player 100 instructs the client to reproduce the content recorded in the server 300 or the content recorded in the mobile player 100.
