PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation sensor capable of detecting the absolute position of a rotator. SOLUTION: In the rotation sensor 10, a magnet 11 is provided on a rotating shaft 5 comprising a magnetic material wherein magnetic pole teeth 5a-5g projecting to the radial direction from the rotation center are formed, and a ring 12 comprising the magnetic material is provided on the outer circumference of the magnet 11 and each magnetic pole tooth 5a-5g, and a Hall element 13 is provided on the inner circumference face of the ring 12. The magnet 11 is provided by avoiding the center of the rotating shaft 5 so that a magnetic flux flow outputted from the magnet 11 becomes point-asymmetric with respect to the center of the rotating shaft 5.
