摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope capable of observing highly accurately a sample including molecules capable of chemiluminescence. SOLUTION: This microscope for observing a chemiluminescent sample 73 including molecules capable of chemiluminescence having at least two or more stable quantum states, has a light source 31 for emitting light for shifting molecules placed in the first quantum state by a chemiluminescent process to another energy level wherein light emission is suppressed, a microscope objective lens 72 for condensing the light from the light source 31 to the chemiluminescent sample 73, a space modulation element 32 for performing space modulation of the light from the light source 31 so that light emission from a part of a domain of the chemiluminescent sample 73 selected spatially by the microscope objective lens 72 is suppressed, scanning means 52, 53 for scanning the chemiluminescent sample 73 by light by moving relatively the light condensed by the microscope objective lens 72 and the chemiluminescent sample 73, and detection means 54, 55, 58 for detecting light emission from the domain of the chemiluminescent sample 73 selected spatially by the microscope objective lens 72.
