PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hyperbranched polymer capable of being synthesized with ease and at a low production cost; a production method thereof; and a monomer precursor for synthesizing the hyperbranched polymer. SOLUTION: This hyperbranched polymer is characterized by being produced by condensation-polymerizing a monoester monomer in which a dicarboxylic acid and any one of hydroxyl groups of a triol represented by a general formula (a): (wherein R1represents an (1-5C) alkyl group; and n is 0 or 1) are ester-bonded with each other.
