PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an umbrella having a revolving function by which a cloth part of the umbrella can be rotated in an original position around a handle or a grip, and having a locking means by which a locked state can be fixed more conveniently by preparing a body capable of maintaining a locked state even in the occurrence of a positional change. SOLUTION: A movable member 20 vertically moves in a state inserted in the umbrella shaft 33 while, at the tip end of the shaft 33, a revolving ball 27 is fixed that is combined with a rotary member 26. At this time, above the revolving ball 27, there are formed with an elastic home and a stopper ball separated from each other at a prescribed interval, wherein the stopper ball is housed in a fixing home of the rotary member 26 and is simultaneously sitting on a fixing step to make the revolving ball 27 serve as the fixing step for the rotary member 26, so that the rotary member 26 is made rotatable.
