PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nurse call device having a number of kinds of calls for requests which can be recognized without telephone call, capable of setting the kind of call corresponding to each patient because a request of a patient is mainly transmitted through telephone call in a conventional nurse call device and the requesting patient may not want a neighboring patient to hear the conversation. SOLUTION: A specific figure read by a nurse call slave unit 1 is correlated with the kind of call and registered in a storage part 12 of a hallway lamp 2, and the hallway lamp 2 compares a figure transmitted from the nurse call slave unit 1 with the specific figure registered in the storage part 12. If it is determined that the transmitted figure matches the specific figure, a call is output to a nurse call master unit according to the kind of call registered and correlated with the corresponding figure.
