PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To visualize a structure of each layer of a cardiac muscle in a three-dimensional manner based on diffusion information of MRI to obtain clinically and biologically meaningful information on a heart, such as a torsional state of the cardiac muscle, a relative position of layers, or the like. SOLUTION: A myocardial structure displaying system 10 includes a PDD (principal diffusion direction) extracting part 14 which generates diffusion anisotropic data of the heart by using diffusion tensor image data of the heart captured by an MRI apparatus 12 and extracts a direction in which water mobility tends to be the greatest, a region of interest extracting part 16 which extracts a region of interest at least in two layers out of three myocardial layers of the heart from the PDD data extracted by the PDD extracting part 14, a tractography executing part 18 which executes tractography for at least two myocardial layers by using the region of interest extracted by the part 16 and the PDD data generated by the part 14, a color information setting part 20 which relates the result obtained by the tractography executing part 18 to different color information, and a three-dimensional display part 22 which displays the tractography result of at least two myocardial layers by using the color information set by the part 20.
