A rectilinear or cylindrical bag for transporting, displaying and chilling a wine bottle or other beverage container is fabricated from a deformable, water-impermeable and polymeric material, and is dimensioned to receive the bottle and a sufficient quantity of crushed ice or ice cubes. The upper edges of the ice bag have a double thickness of the material for retaining the opening in a substantially non-collapsed state, and is provided with a handle.
