<p>Disclosed is a gel cosmetic composition which stably contains disintegrating particles, while being excellent in feeling of use. Specifically disclosed is a gel cosmetic composition containing: (A) a disintegrating particle wherein water-insoluble primary particles are bonded together by a water-soluble binder; (B) 15-70% by mass of a polyhydric alcohol; (C) a thickening polymer compound having a carboxyl group; (D) less than 1% by mass of a water-soluble salt; and (E) water. This gel cosmetic composition has a pH of 4-9.</p>
