A testing system and a testing method of a photo diode array module for overseeing optical signal performance are provided to reduce the cost for testing the photo diode array module by increasing test efficiency. A testing system of a photo diode array module for overseeing optical signal performance includes a controller(60), a laser source(10), an optical switch(20), a testing unit(40), and a detection unit(50). The controller has an embedded control program for controlling a test and stores test results. The laser source supplies optical signal under the control of the controller. The optical switch inputs optical signals to each input port of an N-channel photo diode array module. The testing unit periodically changes the channel of a connection unit set by the optical switch to correspond to the channel of the photo diode array module. The detection unit provides a photo diode with reverse bias voltage and detects optical current values of the photo diode for each channel.
