A method for preparing a microcapsule comprising Astragalus membranaceus is provided to produce a product containing unique ingredients of Astragalus membranaceus with long term stability and convenience of drinking by improving the solubility using a water-soluble wall material. And a method for preparing a microcapsule using ingredients of the Astragalus membranaceus as a wall material is provided to obtain various hydrophobic physiologically active material containing microcapsules with high stability and taking convenience. A method for preparing a microcapsule comprising Astragalus membranaceus comprises the steps of: (a) pulverizing the Astragalus membranaceus to have a size of less than 100 mesh; (b) dissolving or suspending 5-20 grams of the pulverized Astragalus membranaceus in 100ml of water to prepare a solution including a physiologically active material; and (c) treating the solution with ultrasonic wave or boiling it to extract the microcapsule. A method for preparing a microcapsule using ingredients of Astragalus membranaceus as a wall material comprises the steps of: (a) pulverizing the Astragalus membranaceus to have a size of less than 100 mesh; (b) dissolving 5-20 grams of the pulverized Astragalus membranaceus in 100ml of water; (c) adding a physiologically active material to the Astragalus membranaceus solution; and (d) treating the solution containing the physiologically active material with ultrasonic wave. Further, treatment time of the ultrasonic wave is 0.5 to 5 minutes.
