<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the strength of a pawl of a bearing ring and secure good dimensional shape accuracy of a bearing while making the bearing ring inseparable from a cage. <P>SOLUTION: After an outer ring 4 and the cage 3 holding rollers 2 are assembled on the bearing integrated in an unhardened condition, carburizing hardening and tempering treatment are given to the assembled bearing. Then, the outer ring 4 and the rollers 2 are clamped in the axial direction and tempering treatment is given to the inner peripheral edge of the cage 3 being thrust to the side of the outer ring 4 in the axial direction to correct the warp and undulation of annular portions of the outer ring 4 and the cage 3, caused by heat strain during carburizing hardening and tempering treatment. This secures the strength of the pawl 4b of the outer ring 4 and secures good dimensional shape accuracy of the bearing while allowing hard separation of the bearing ring from the cage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
