<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display with a touch panel wherein a positional coordinate of a liquid crystal panel which the force is applied on is determined. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display includes a light source for emitting light, a first substrate 150, a second substrate 152 parallel to and facing the first substrate 150, and a plurality of pixel units formed between the first substrate 150 and the second substrate 152. Each of the plurality of pixel units comprises a reflecting element 154 disposed on the first substrate 150 for reflecting light from the light source 130, and a photo-sensing element 218, formed on the second substrate 152, for outputting a sensing parameter based on light reflected from the reflecting element 154.
