<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical distribution box which can be made compact and can provide excellent efficiency of work of handling optical fibers. <P>SOLUTION: The optical distribution box is provided with an accommodation case 15 for accommodating connecting parts 12 of cable side optical fibers 10a from an optical cable lining in the vertical direction and optical fibers 11 for branching. The accommodation case 15 includes a case main body 25 for accommodating the connecting parts 12 therein, and a lid body 26 for covering an opening part 25a of the case main body 25 in a freely openable and closable fashion.
