PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To converge the magnified image of a target on an imaging device arranged in the focal plane of a passive optical range finder, by providing the imaging device and the passive optical range finder. SOLUTION: The system receives information indicative of a target type and generates information, indicative of an absolute geographic location for the target, based on at least the target type and information outputted by the imaging device.
