PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply set an image direction without providing an exclusive key. SOLUTION: The photographic device is provided with: an image pickup part which picks up an image to output image data; a display part which displays the image data outputted from the image pickup part; a pointing device which is arranged at a position operable when the image is picked up in the image pickup part and controls display or input in the display part; a detection part which detects an operation result of the pointing device when the image pickup part outputs the image data; and a recording part which rotates the image data outputted from the image pickup part in the direction based on the operation result detected by the detection part to be recorded in a memory.
