PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having excellent cleaning characteristics and high durability for achieving high image quality over a long period of time by having high wear resistance, high scratching resistance and excellent smoothness of a film due to uniform curing over the whole layer of the crosslinking surface layer particularly in addition to excellent electric characteristics and forming a photosensitive layer of a clear crosslinking surface layer, and to provide an image forming method using their long life and a high performance photoreceptor, an image forming device, and a process cartridge for the image forming device. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has a layer including polymerization reaction product comprising polycarbonate containing a plurality of stilbene polycarbonate units denoted by general formula (1) and a polymerization charge transport substance having carbon-carbon double coupling.
