PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive a plurality of display devices having different display forms simultaneously and to make a circuit scale small by reducing the memory capacity of a line memory. SOLUTION: The line memory 41 has only a memory capacity for 240 pixels which are 1/3 time as many as 720 pixels of one horizontal scanning line. The line memory 41 is therefore incapable of storing image data for the 720 pixels at a time. Then, the image data are divided and written to the line memory 41 three times in one horizontal period. Consequently, image data for 240 pixels are written to the line memory 41 each time. The image data begin to be read out of the line memory 41, for example, at a time point when writing of image data for 120 pixels is completed, and then continue to be read out in time series.
