PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a polyolefin resin aqueous dispersion capable of dispersing a polyolefin resin in an aqueous medium finely and stably, without using a nonvolatile compound such as a surfactant. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a polyolefin resin aqueous dispersion without substantially using a surfactant includes a step of reacting a nonchlorinated acid-modified polyolefin resin dissolved in a water-soluble organic solvent with a basic compound to neutralize an acid group in the resin and a step of adding water to the resin.
