When the same video information is multicast from one transmission side transmission device to a plurality of reception side transmission devices and the plurality of reception side transmission devices perform simultaneous output, it is possible no to transmit information concerning a network delay from the transmission side transmission device and align the simultaneous output timings from the plurality of reception side transmission devices without requiring an additional band/line. In order to achieve this object, provided is a multicast system including a network and a plurality of transmission devices connected to the network. The same video information is sent from one transmission device to a plurality of transmission devices. A reception side transmission device performs buffer control when buffering the video information acquired by acquiring the buffer control information.
