<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress unnatural color variation when trapping and space filter processing are combined with each other. <P>SOLUTION: A reference window input part 101 inputs window data. A trap judgment part 102 judges whether trapping has to be performed at the position of a pixel under consideration in the reference window. A trap color determining part 103 traps image data input according to the result of judging by the trap judgment part 102. A space filter processing part 104 performs space filter processing to the pixel under consideration in the reference window.
