PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce influence to an effect of suppressing density variation of a printed image when a distortion occurs on a test pattern printed by a single color.

SOLUTION: This method for printing a test pattern comprises a step for printing a first sub-pattern on a medium by delivering ink in a color from a first nozzle for delivering a first ink, and a step for printing a second sub-pattern on the medium at a central side with respect to the position of the formed first sub-pattern by delivering ink in a color from a second nozzle for delivering a second ink which is paler than the first ink.
