<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shielding structure for a photoelectric conversion circuit and a communication apparatus capable of preventing electromagnetic noise radiated from the circuit from leaking, while being a simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: A shielding device for the photoelectric conversion circuit includes an annular shielding member 30, interposed in between a casing 11 and a packaging substrate 15 surrounding the photoelectric conversion circuit. The shielding member 30 includes a fiber extraction part 31 for passing an optical fiber 22, connected to an optical fiber connector 23 therethrough.
