<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus provided with a position correction means capable of suppressing a positional deviation to a minimum value, even when thermal expansion caused by the rising of temperature occurs or a temperature difference occurs between image forming units. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 has a plurality of photoreceptors 200Y, 200M, 200C and 200K, an exposure means 202 for exposing the surfaces of the respective photoreceptors and developing means 203 for developing electrostatic latent images formed on the surfaces of the respective photoreceptors and transfers toner images of colors different from each other formed on the surfaces of the respective photoreceptors to a means to be transferred 101.
