<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce unevenness in color in obtained white light, while suppressing the deterioration of sealing portion using glass for sealing a light-emitting element. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided a light-emitting element 3 mounted on a substrate 2, a glass member 4 that seals the light-emitting element 3, a transmitting member 5, located outside the glass member 4 and which transmits light emitted from the light-emitting element 3, and a powdery phosphor 6 attached to an inner surface and an outer surface or both the inner and outer surfaces of the transmitting member 5, and thereby the distribution of the phosphor 6 becomes uniform on the transmitting member 5 and the uniform wavelength conversion is enabled, regardless of the path of light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
