PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device, preventing a filter member trapping particulate in exhaust gas from being excessively heated, and preventing erosion or a crack of the filter member. SOLUTION: The filter member 3 trapping particulate in exhaust gas G is disposed to an exhaust passage 2 of an engine so as to constitute the exhaust emission control device 1. A recirculation passage 5 is disposed to the exhaust passage so as to recirculate CO<SB>2</SB>in the exhaust gas from the exhaust passage downstream of the filter member to the exhaust passage upstream of the filter member. A storage part 6 storing CO<SB>2</SB>in the exhaust gas is disposed in the recirculation passage. The recirculation passage introduces a larger amount of CO<SB>2</SB>to an outer peripheral part of the filter member than to a center side of the filter member. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
