PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gantry type working device capable of deforming it so that an occupying space becomes smaller in transferring it and capable of easily reversing it, too. SOLUTION: A base unit is furnished with two frames provided in parallel in the first direction, a gantry frame with a lower end part connected to the two frames through a rotating means and a working part arranged on the gantry frame and to work on a work, a work table unit is furnished with a work table set between the two frames which the base unit has and to hold the work and a table frame to support it, and consequently, this gantry type working device constitutes its characteristic feature capable of carrying out desired working on the work by changing a relative positional relation of the working part and the work, separating the work table unit from the base unit when it does not work and reducing an interval between the two frames while revolving the gantry frame.
