<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel fixing structure which is capable of fixing a cover panel to a chassis without using a special adhesive agent or pawls, and has the advantage in external appearance and cost. <P>SOLUTION: The panel fixing structure is equipped with the chassis 6 with an upper wall 12 where an opening 40 is formed, the cover panel 27 that is fitted into the opening 40, and a liquid crystal display device 26 fixed to the chassis 6. The case 6 is equipped with a first opening end 41a formed at a corner specified with the upper wall 12 and a rear wall 13, and a second opening end 41b formed at a corner specified with the upper wall 12 and a front wall 14. The cover panel 27 is equipped with a first end face 46a exposed at the first opening end 41a, a second end face 46b exposed at the second opening end 41b, and flanges 52a and 52b protruding from side edges 51a and 51b. The liquid crystal display device 26 is equipped with engaging units 36a and 36b located at positions corresponding to the one ends 53 of the flanges 52a and 52b.
