PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor for eliminating noises from an image signal. SOLUTION: The processor is provided with: an edge extraction part for extracting edge information related to presence/absence of an edge around a target pixel of an input image signal; a noise elimination selection part for determining whether a color signal of the target pixel is inside a specific color area or outside the specific color area and selecting the noise elimination processing to be applied to the target pixel by using the determination result and edge information extracted by the edge extraction part; and a noise elimination processing part for applying the noise elimination processing selected by the noise elimination selection part to the target pixel.
