<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system and a print instruction device and a printer for enabling a user to quickly and easily find out his own printed matters in a print environment in which a printer is shared and used by a plurality of users. <P>SOLUTION: Supposing that a user A instructs printing, and afterwards, users B and C instruct printing in this order, print data relating to this instruction are transmitted to a printer 20, and the printer 20 performs printing based on the print data. In the case of printing, the printer 20 prints continuous ejection numbers in the predetermined region of each sheet. When printing ends, the user of the print data transmission origin is notified of the ejection numbers attached to the printed matters of the user from the printer 20. For example, the user A is notified of ejection numbers 1001 to 1020. In a host terminal 10 which has received this notification, the ejection numbers are displayed, and the user who has referred to this display finds out his own printed matters from the printer 20 based on the ejection numbers, and brings them back to his own seat. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
