<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing moisture from a component forming an azeotrope by making use of an adsorbent. <P>SOLUTION: The method for removing moisture by a pressure swing process of moisture and the component forming an azeotrope together with water (hereinafter, referred to as other component) is conducted by pressurizing vapor of a mixture containing water and the other component, introducing it to an adsorbent bed having selectivity for moisture to separate moisture from the other component by adsorbing moisture with the adsorbent and then discontinuing to supply the mixture to the adsorbent bed and desorbing the moisture from the adsorbent bed by depressurizing the adsorbent bed having selectivity for moisture that has adsorbed moisture or by using the product other component or an inert gas as a purge gas under atmospheric or reduced pressure. The adsorbent having selectivity for moisture is at least one kind selected from the group consisting of K-A, Na-A, Na-K-A and Ca-A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
