PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-weighted hanger beam assembly providing a desired natural frequency to a steering column assembly and strongly connecting vehicle parts to each other. SOLUTION: The hanger beam assembly 20 formed from aluminum comprises a first and a second support brackets 26 and 28, a main beam hanger 30, a driver beam 22, a main beam 24, a main beam support 32, and a main beam support mounting bracket 34. The main beam support mounting bracket has a first lateral end mechanically secured to the main beam support and a second lateral end mechanically secured to a center support. The bottom wall of the main beam support mounting bracket is fitted to a floor tunnel and a frame cross member of the vehicle floor.
