PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coordinated control method for a power line carrier system capable of increasing communication traffic per unit time duration without increase in a communication error ratio, even when a transmission path of a power line carrier signal is formed among master units via a main trunk power line, and to provide the power line carrier system. SOLUTION: A time zone ts, a time zone t1 and a time zone t2 are set in a slot. The time zone ts is used for timing by which a master unit 4 (41-45) assigned to the slot starts transmission of a control packet. The time zone t1 of a predetermined time width is set from the end point of the time zone ts, and used for transmission at the initial time when a master unit 4 corresponding to the slot is not assigned. The time zone t2 of a predetermined time width is set from the end point of the time zone t1, and allows a master unit 4 out of assignment to perform transmission if there is no transmission by an assigned master unit until the time zone t1 expires.
