PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which can raise response speed of liquid crystal while suppressing costs of the liquid crystal display device, by supplying a corrected image data for raising response speed of the liquid crystal to a gray scale level of an input image data into the pixel electrodes before supplying the input image data. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device comprises a corrected image data storage part 8 which stores the corrected image data for raising the response speed of the liquid crystal to the gray scale level of the input image data, and a liquid crystal controller 9 which outputs the input image data and the corrected image data stored in the corrected image data storage part 8 to a source driver 4, and within the present frame period, the source driver 4 supplies the corrected image data before supplying the input image data to the pixel electrodes of the liquid crystal panel 2.
