PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for producing a polyamide monofilament in a high quality by stabilizing finish oil application in the length direction of the polyamide monofilament. SOLUTION: In the apparatus for producing a polyamide monofilament by melt spinning a polyamide, cooling the spun yarn with a cooling air stream by a cooler, treating the yarn with a finish oil by finish oil supply guides and drawing the yarn by a feed roll and a draw roll, the finish oil guides are composed of a pair of finish oil supply guides 4 and 5 which nip the spun yarn, are differed in a phase in the traveling direction of the spun yarn and apply the finish oil to the spun yarn from both the sides.
