SIMULATION METHOD, FIBER ORIENTATION CONTROL METHOD, AND FIBER ORIENTATION CONTROL DEVICE

When the paper-making material is supplied on a wire, the variation of the material speed component at the slice slip outlet because of the operation of edge flow rate (or the side bleed flow rate) regulating means in a head box is expressed by a mathematical expression model. The mathematical expression is defined assuming that the speed component in the direction of the flow of the paper-making material does not vary but the speed component in a direction perpendicular to the direction of the flow varies in proportion to the variation of the edge flow rate (or the side bleed flow rate) over a predetermined response width from the edge. From the mathematical expression model, the variation of the orientation angle profile in the width direction is predicted by computation.
