<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball having a high restitution coefficient even if an impact speed is slow or fast. <P>SOLUTION: The golf ball comprises a core having a diameter of 0.5-1.4 inches, a compression of approximately 45 or lower and the restitution coefficient of 0.730-0.810, a cast polyurea cover, and an interlayer arranged between the core and the cover and having the thickness of 0.11 inches or greater and composed of highly neutralized composition having a water vapor transmission rate of 8 g-mil/100 in<SP>2</SP>/day or lower. Compression of approximately 70-100 is achieved by a combination of the core and the interlayer. The restitution coefficient of the golf ball is 0.805-0.820 when it is measured at an input speed of 125 ft/s. The restitution coefficient is 0.75 or greater when it is measured at an input speed of 160 ft/s, and the compression of the golf ball is 75-105. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
