PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic vending machine which cools or heats, and sells a commodity such as a can drink, and reduces power consumption by using waste heat during cooling for the heating, and can apply the waste heat even when outside air temperature is low. SOLUTION: By installing a changeover chamber evaporator 20 and a changeover chamber condenser 21 inside a hot/cold changeover chamber 1, an optimum design as an evaporating or condensing heat exchanger can be performed. By connecting the changeover chamber condenser 21 and an outdoor heat exchanger 7 through a resistor 22, a condensation temperature of the changeover chamber condenser 21 can be kept comparatively high even when the outside air temperature is low, and the waste heat during cooling is used for the heating to reduce the power consumption.
