PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a compact camera module that has simple structure. SOLUTION: The camera module include: at least one optical lens; a lens barrel that holds the optical lens; and an imaging device that receives light transmitted through the optical lens and has a quadrangular outer shape, wherein the outer shapes of the optical lens and lens barrel are such that at least part of the cylindrical shape is cut off along a straight line. A flat side wall is disposed on the external wall of the lens barrel, which corresponds to a part where the outer shape of the lens barrel is cut off along the straight line.
