PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit vertical vibration of a structure such as an inspection platform provided on a diesel engine. SOLUTION: A vertical dynamic damper inhibits vertical vibration of the inspection platform provided on an internal combustion engine. A damper body 10 includes a cylindrical case 12, a guide bar 13 provided in the case 12, a weight for inhibiting vibration 14 provided slidably on a guide cover 13, coil springs 15, 16 arranged on both sides of the weight for inhibiting vibration 14, and a pair of guide bar support bodies 17, 18 fitting on both ends of the case 12 and supporting the guide bar 13 at an axial center part of the case. A connection part 19 is provided on one of the guide bar support bodies 18, and the damper body 10 is erectly provided on the inspection platform 110 by a base part 11 installed on the connection part 19.
