PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy and efficiency of a thread fastening operation, and eliminate limitations of an operating area by providing a function for monitoring a thread fastening operation to a power tool. SOLUTION: This power tool 1, in which a control circuit for monitoring the thread fastening operation is built, comprises thread fastening completion detection means for detecting completion of fastening threads, thread fastening count means for counting a detected number of fastened threads, thread fastening number setting means for presetting a number of threads to be fastened, and thread fastening completion informing means for informing completion of the operation when the fastening number reaches a preset number, inside a rechargeable power tool body 2. In this power tool 1, at least thread fastening number setting means 6, and thread fastening completion informing means 7 are installed to a lower front part 12a of a grip part 12 of the power tool body 2.
