PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a sugar in good energy efficiency. SOLUTION: This method for producing the sugar comprises a preliminarily heating process for heating a lignocellulose mixed solution comprising lignocellulose and hydrogen peroxide solution to dissolve the hemicellulose and the lignin, a hemicellulose-saccharifying process for heating the lignocellulose mixed solution treated in the preliminarily heating process at a higher temperature than the heating temperature in the preliminarily heating process to saccharify the hemicellulose to obtain the sugar mixed solution, a first sugar solution-separating process for removing cellulose from the sugar mixed solution to obtain a first sugar solution, a cellulose-saccharifying process for further adding hydrogen peroxide solution to the cellulose, and heating the obtained cellulose mixed solution to saccharify the cellulose, and a second sugar solution-producing process for heating the cellulose mixed solution treated in the cellulose-saccharifying process at a higher heating temperature than the heating temperature in the cellulose-saccharifying process for a constant time to obtain the second sugar solution.
