BIOSENSOR USING FEEDBACK

A biosensor is provided to amplify a signal electric current by using one working electrode and one enzyme, thereby being applied to develop a highly sensitive and cheap biosensor and utilized for immunoassay and as a DNA sensor. A biosensor is characterized in that it performs the steps comprising: (a) activating an electrochemically inactive material using a marker acting as a catalyst into an electrochemically active material by transporting electrons between the electrochemically active material and an electrode where a media is fixed on the surface to make the electron transport easy; (b) subjecting the electrochemically active material to an electrochemical reaction; and (c) recovering the product of the step(b) as an electrochemically activated material using a reducing agent or an oxidizing agent and it repeats the steps(b) and (c) to amplify a signal electric current. Further, the electron is not transported between the reducing agent or the oxidizing agent and the electrode.
